The Consultant agrees to perform his/her services taking into consideration the objectives defined in Articles 2.2 and 2.3.
The Consultant shall establish a construction cost estimate of the works at each design stage.
The estimate relates to the works carried out on site – in separate trades/general contractor ..., depending on the project and local market conditions.
The Consultant carries out his/her design studies with the intention to respect the initial cost estimate with a [+/- X %] tolerance rate per stage.
In addition to the above-mentioned tolerance rate, to be taken into account are fluctuations in local construction costs, the evolution of exchange rates that affect certain works, changes to the brief or additional services and the eventual implications of changes in the applicable regulation or its interpretation by the local technical controller. If these events change the construction cost, the Consultant shall estimate the implications on the cost plan.
The Consultant verifies that construction carried out complies with the cost plan that results from the Contractors’ tenders and their contract with a [+/- X %] tolerance rate. If such is not the case, the Consultant shall inform the Client, knowing that this verification is not included in services arising from the Consultant’s Appointment.
