Unforeseen circumstances clause Contractual flexibility: deadline extensions and adjustments In the event of exceptional circumstances affecting the performance of the contract, including but not limited to: delays attributable to administrative decisions, regulatory changes, unforeseen technical constraints, or major supply chain disruptions, the parties agree to renegotiate the deadlines and terms of performance. The contractor may submit a request for an extension of time, justifying the objective reasons for the change. The project owner shall have 15 days to accept or propose an alternative adjustment. If no response is received within this period, the extension shall be deemed accepted.
